My Mission

I began V-tech Racquet Solutions as an independent home-based racquet stringing service to provide every tennis, squash, and badminton player an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a professional string job at an affordable price, no matter what playing level you are.  As I operate independently, I can offer you a comprehensive and professional stringing service than any racquet stores, sports shops, and tennis clubs in the area.

If you can't decide what strings to get, or what tension to string at, or would like to experiment with a new setup, I can help!  I will take the time to discuss your game with you, what you are looking for in a new string setup, and make recommendation that will help your game.

I am located in Hawaii Kai, and I welcome customers from all areas around Downtown and East Oahu (Diamond Head, Kahala, Waialae, Aina Haina, Hawaii Kai, and Waimanalo). 

Who I am

I am a United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA) Certified Master Racquet Technician (MRT), which is the highest certification level for racquet servicing. I am also a Global Racket Stringers Association (GRSA) Certified Pro Master Stringer and Certified Tour Stringer.  Additionally, I am a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified Junior Development instructor. I first picked up a tennis racquet when I was about 10 years old and went on to play competitive tennis as a junior and in high school, and continued on to league tennis. When I am not playing tennis, I work professionally as a licensed civll engineer (P.E.), specializing in traffic/transportation engineering and drainage/hydraulics engineering.  I also possess an MBA degree and enjoy surfing. 

I was taught to string tennis racquets as a junior by my tennis coach.  My first stringing machine was a portable drop weight stringer and have now graduated to a stand-up electronic professional stringer. 

As an avid tennis player, I currently play at an NTRP 4.5-ish level, and parent to 3 children, who started playing tennis from orange ball and now to collegiate/professional tennis.  I am acutely aware of the stringing needs of recreational players, junior players in competitive tennis, and serious players who require the very best performance.

As for my weapon of choice, I currently use Solinco Whiteout 305 XTD with natural gut (Babolat VS Touch 16g) mains at 51lbs, and co-polyester (Solinco Hyper-G Round 17g) cross at 49 lbs.  I love the combination of spin generation coupled with power and feel that I can get with this set up.
